The Case

Clear and Durable. The kit comes in an attractive clear case with silver accents. All six sides of the case are made from durable clear plastic with a sturdy aluminum frame. The new Mom can look at the case and instantly see what she needs inside. No more fumbling through a bag to find the digital thermometer at 3am while holding a crying baby.

Lock. The case comes with a lock so that the medicine and contents can be kept safely out of childrens’ hands.

Extra Space. The case measures 9 inches wide, 7 inches tall, and 7 inches deep. It has plenty of room to store the basic tools and medicines included with the kit – with extra room for many other items the new Mom needs to keep safe and handy. The clear plastic and aluminum construction makes the case strong, but also light enough to easily carry.

The Tools

Newborn Pacifier . Most pacifiers are not designed for newborns. The new Mom may get a newborn pacifier while at the hospital, having a “spare” is a MUST. I recommend the Newborn Pacifier by Gumdrop™ because it is specially designed for a better fit with a newborn baby’s mouth.

Soft Bristle Brush. Regular brushes meant for older children or adults are too harsh for a newborn. A newborn infant’s hair should be brushed daily with a soft-bristle brush. This is important to prevent and to cure cradle cap.

Digital Baby Thermometer. Infants can't tell us what is wrong when they are not feeling well. An important way to check on an infant’s health is by taking their temperature. Glass and mercury thermometers are not recommended, always use a digital thermometer. One is included in the Newborn Kit.

The Medicines

The medicines in this kit are the standard size, name brand products. These are not samples. They are each individually safety wrapped – direct from the manufacturer, so the new Mom can feel safe about what she has in this kit.

• Infant Fever/Pain Reducer (Tylenol®) - very safe and effective fever reducer and pain reliever.
• Gas Relief Drops (Mylicon®) - the best in infant gas relief.
• Saline Nose Spray / Drops - for safely loosening mucus.
• Boudreaux's Butt Paste® - a great product for diaper rash and skin irritation.

The Newborn Booklet

Not only does the new Mom need the right medicine and tools when her child is sick. She needs the confidence and know-how to use them properly, safely, and effectively. I wrote the Newborn Booklet included in the kit - from many years of experience as a Pharmacist and a Mom. In the booklet, I explain:
