Nasal Aspirator or Bulb Syringe

A nasal aspirator or bulb syringe is an essential items in any mother's medical tool kit. 

Why use a Nasal aspirator?

When your child has a stuffed up nose due to cold or illness, a nasal aspirator is the perfect tool to help clear out their nasal passages and let them breathe easier.

How to use a Nasal Aspirator.

1. Squeeze bulb to expel all the air.
   
2. Place tip gently into baby’s nostril and slowly release bulb. Do not push tip in too far, and do not release all at once.
   
3. Flush tip with warm water, and repeat.

Tip: You could also use saline drops to help soften and loosen a stuffed up nose.  Then use the nasal aspirator (bulb syringe) to clear things out.

How to Clean a Nasal Aspirator
Wash complete aspirator in warm soapy water to remove mucous. Rinse well and let dry.

How to Sterilize a Nasal Aspirator
Place complete aspirator in water at 100°F for 10 minutes. Allow water to cool, remove aspirator and rinse with rubbing alcohol.
