H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccine Delay

The H1N1 (Swine Flu) Vaccine will be delivered to physician's offices this week (October 12-16, 2009). Initially, there will not be enough H1N1 vaccine available to vaccinate everyone who wants one.
The CDC recommends these people get the H1N1 Vaccine before others:
  • pregnant women,
  • people who live with or care for children younger than 6 months of age,
  • health care and emergency medical services personnel with direct patient contact,
  • children 6 months through 4 years of age, and
  • children 5 through 18 years of age who have chronic medical conditions.
Please check with your healthcare provider if you are in one of these groups.
