An Explanation of Terms Used on Mom's Medicine Chest

Acetaminophen - a popular pain killer and fever reducer in a class of medicines known as pain relievers (analgesics) and fever reducers (antipyretics)

Allergen - Any offending substance that causes allergies or an allergic reaction. Common allergens include mold, pollen, dust, and pet dander.

Antibodies - protein substances (viral or bacterial) that helps fight an antigen (invading bacteria or virus)

Bronchiolitis - a lung infection caused by Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) - which can cause swelling of the tubes in the lungs
